Front design
The almost completely closed BMW i kidney grille forms the central optical element of the impressive front. Together with the L-shaped arrangement of the air inlets in BMW i Blue, it underlines the all-electric nature of the new BMW iX3. The flat Adaptive LED headlights in the new design give the front of the BMW iX3 a focused look.

Side view
The generously proportioned contours around the wheel housings self-assuredly showcase the 20" M Aerodynamic 890 M style wheels in Jet Black with aluminium accents. The Air Breather in BMW M design on the wing behind the front wheel optimises the airflow.

Rear design
In combination with the vertical Air Breather, new LED rear lights with three-dimensional cover glass, pincer graphic and horizontal indicators ensure an appearance with maximum focus. Diffusers in Blue complete the tail above the road. The trim positioned in between has a high-quality appearance in Frozen Grey.

Cockpit
The BMW Live Cockpit Professional combines a 12.3" fully digital instrument display with 12.3" touch-capable Control Display. Blue BMW i accents such as that on the start/stop button emphasise the emission-free drive system of the new BMW iX3.

Panorama glass roof
When open, the Panorama glass roof provides a friendly, light-flooded atmosphere in the vehicle interior and offers plenty of fresh air. It opens and closes completely automatically at the push of a button or with the vehicle key, and is equipped with slide and lift functions, roller sunblind and wind deflector.

Sport seats
Ensuring a high level of comfort in the interior of the BMW iX3 are sport seats in leather upholstery, Vernasca fitted as standard. The M leather steering wheel including Multifunction and M emblem has a 3-spoke design. Interior trim strips in Aluminium Rhombicle Dark additionally set sporty accents.

Adaptive suspension.
The adaptive suspension makes it possible to adjust the damper characteristics to suit any given driving situation, increasing tyre comfort and driving dynamics.

BMW eDrive motor.
The highly integrated drive unit combines electric motor, transmission and power electronics in an aluminium housing, saving space and weight. The direct, spontaneous implementation of acceleration requests ensures the typical BMW driving pleasure. By managing without rare earths, the electric motor is particularly sustainable.

Recuperation system.
The recuperation system converts the kinetic energy generated during deceleration and braking into electricity and feeds this into the drives high-voltage battery to increase the range. The adjustability of the recuperation level in four stages enables increased individualisation and a significant gain in comfort.

BMW Iconic Sounds Electric.
With BMW Iconic Sounds Electric, you can further enhance the emotional experience of purely electric driving. The sound productions give you immediate acoustic feedback on various driving manoeuvres. The sound output is provided internally by the audio system and externally by components of the acoustic protection for pedestrians.

Thanks to the interplay of an efficient drivetrain concept, aerodynamic design, and a powerful high-voltage battery, the BMW iX3 reaches ranges of up to 460 kilometres*. Innovative technologies, such as brake energy recovery, help to extend the range and reduce energy consumption to 18.9'18.5 kWh/100 km.

The calculation takes into account consumption and charging performance. Values refer to 29-33 degrees Celsius battery start and ambient temperature with certification values excluding additional auxiliary consumers such as seat heating, displays, air conditioning. Individual consumption may vary (depending on e.g. driving profile, temperature, ambient conditions) as well as the individually achievable charging performance (depending on e.g. battery state of charge, vehicle air conditioning). Charging performance is based on the maximum possible charging performance (depending on charging type and vehicle).

Safety and security
Euro NCAP, the nice helpful people who slam new cars into walls so that you don’t have to, hasn’t tested the iX3 itself, but the standard X3 got a full five-star safety rating when it was tested back in 2017. That included a 93% score for adult occupant protection, and 84% for child occupants, both of which are impressive.

As standard, the iX3 comes with active radar guided cruise control which can slow you down to a stop in heavy traffic, steering that keeps you in your lane on a motorway, a speed limit assistant that reads road signs and gives you a warning to slow down if you need to and an active side collision protection system that stops you pulling out into the path of another car when you’re changing lanes.

The iX3 comes as standard with LED headlights, but these can be optionally upgraded to BMW’s Laser Lights, which can throw a main-beam 600 metres up the road, and which have active elements to stop you dazzling other road users. M-Sport Pro models also come with the Parking Assistant Plus which not only has a surround-view camera system, but which can also back you into a parking space, taking care of the braking and all.

The BMW Digital Key turns your compatible smartphone into a vehicle key. To unlock, simply hold the smartphone next to the door handle; before starting your BMW place it on the smartphone tray. In addition, you can send a Digital Key to up to five friends, and even limit the maximum speed, for example ideal for novice drivers.
